SECRETS OF THE UNDERGROUND WORLD
By going to the Grotte du Grand Roc, you will first be surprised by the breathtaking view of the Vézère Valley. Then, you will explore a veritable small mineral forest composed of an incredible variety and density of crystallizations. Will you be able to recognize stalactites, stalagmites and calcite flows? You will also be amazed by the impressive number of eccentrics! Not to be missed: the nighttime visit to the cave with the storm lamp during the summer. Winter and summer, take advantage of the cave's natural air conditioning, 16° all year round!
EVENTS:
• Night visit to the hurricane lamp: school holidays.
Equipped with a hurricane lamp, you explore the cave in conditions similar to those of its discovery by Jean Maury in 1924. A second exploration using the usual light will reveal the beauty of this mineral forest and you will be able to admire the incredible variety and density of crystallizations.- European Heritage Days: September 21 and 22
