Bara-Bahau Cave is an ornate Upper Paleolithic cave. Located along the Vézère valley in the commune of Bugue in the Dordogne department in New Aquitaine, it measures approximately 100 meters.
It is of geological interest, in particular by its eccentric concretions, and especially prehistoric, by the parietal engravings it contains. It takes its name from a local Occitan onomatopoeia which means “badaboum” in reference to the collapsed blocks visible in the first room. Private property open to the public, it was classified as a historical monument in 1961.
