We stayed for two weeks at Camping du Bois Coquet. From the start, there were some disappointments, even though on paper it looked very good. Upon arrival, we were informed that the campsite was car-free for the sake of children and the well-being of the other guests. Cars had to be parked at the entrance to the campsite in a designated area. This was our first disappointment because this rule was never mentioned in our booking, and it can be a deal-breaker, especially when you're returning with a lot of groceries or when it's been raining heavily (often the case in summer in this part of France). Then we were given the key to our mobile home. Indeed, it was in a natural setting as advertised, but very poorly oriented. Our entrance was directly opposite the terrace of another mobile home. Our terrace, where we ate, therefore overlooked their terrace, and despite a screen, we could see each other eating. The small shrubs will be very useful in the future, but for the moment, it wasn't very private. Second disappointment. The accommodation itself is decent, functional, and clean, with slightly soft bedding, but it's acceptable. We then headed towards the pool. There, we were advised against bringing our inflatable crocodile. A shame, as it was for the children to get used to the water. So it stayed on the edge of the pool. The pool itself is fine, with sun loungers and parasols. However, balls flying on the water aren't prohibited, even though we felt it was dangerous. In short, a third disappointment. The next day, we signed up to visit the mini-farm. A very educational experience, especially with children. We asked if we could come back during the week to feed and brush the animals. We were told yes, but each child had to pay to help cover the animals' care. Okay, we understand the reasoning, but it's a shame this wasn't clearly stated on the website at the time of booking. The same will be true for archery (the first time I've seen this charged at a campsite, even though an outside instructor is needed). Fourth disappointment. The first week in the mobile home went well because we had brought powerful fans from home. Without them, it would have been extremely hot to fall asleep (temperature exceeding 28°C at 10 pm). It seems our neighbors had a lot of trouble sleeping because the fans provided by the campsite weren't powerful enough to cool the room. The campsite must have received a lot of feedback on this because they advertise that they have equipped the mobile homes with air conditioning for 2026. The pizzas at the restaurant are good, but be careful with the prices listed in the mobile home brochure; they are not the same. Check the restaurant's prices for the most up-to-date information. The available activities (free or paid) are listed in several different places around the campsite, which makes them difficult to understand. Why not do like all the other campsites and list them on a single sheet so we can make our decision? Anyway, the family who runs the campsite is friendly, but that's not everything. The final disappointments came when we were leaving. We had ordered chocolate croissants and raisin bread for the next day. When I came to pick up the order, there were no raisin breads, only croissants, which I refused. Even for something like that, they can't seem to be efficient and take an order properly. The disappointment reached its peak when we returned the keys to the mobile home. We thought we would get our deposit back, but no. They were "overwhelmed," they couldn't do the checkout inspection. They kept the deposit check and said that if they had to charge us anything, they would let us know before cashing it. If all went well, it would be destroyed. UNBELIEVABLE, I've never seen anything like it in my life. The final report should be prepared with both parties involved to avoid any disputes. That's impossible in this case.

We were here for the second time this July, and certainly not the last. The drive with a caravan is quite an adventure through the forest, as the roads are very narrow and sometimes in poor condition, but this place more than makes up for it. If you're looking for absolute peace and quiet and a chance to slow down, this is definitely the place for you 👍 The atmosphere is so pleasantly relaxed and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a pitch, which we chose ourselves again, and made use of the excellent sanitary facilities and the restaurant. Perhaps the food selection could be updated, as the menu was exactly the same as in 2024, but the prices are perfectly reasonable. We thought the newly planted vegetable garden and the landscaped animal area were fantastic. There's a pool, plenty of play areas for children, and even a baguette delivery service. All in all, we highly recommend it, and we're so happy to have found this wonderful place with such lovely people. Thank you for pure relaxation, and we'll definitely be back 👍
