Camping de La Dronne

The Dronne campsite is a cocoon of wild nature that welcomes you all year round, in the heart of the Périgord Vert (40 km north-west of Périgueux). Located on the edge of the Dronne, a river full of fish in which live more than twenty varieties of fish, including pike and eels (swimming possible but not supervised and possibility of fishing), it is naturally very shaded, due to the presence of many plane trees.

The campsite is also close to shops: bakery 200 m away and town center 1.5 km away, with a weekly market, pharmacy, banks, etc… Ribérac is also the starting point for many hiking trails (Double ponds, Echourgnac loop, etc…).

The Dronne campsite is managed in an eco-responsible manner. For example, the lights are turned off at night to avoid light pollution. In addition, a permaculture garden and a chicken coop are being developed, which will provide customers with vegetables and eggs, while producing less waste. Today, the campsite offers local products, such as organic honey.

A garage sale is organized every fortnight on Sunday. The campsite bar (License III) offers Crémant de Bordeaux, as well as wine and… Ribérac being the homeland of Arnaut Daniel, a famous 12th century troubadour, the owner plans to transform it into a tavern on weekends, with music and a dance floor.

In short, a holiday resort in a green setting offering multiple possibilities for discovering the wild nature of Périgord (canoeing, cycling, horseback riding, hiking, etc…), as well as its history and heritage.
