Grand Merlhiot truffle estate is located in Savignac-les-Eglise, a small village ideally located for walking and discovering the gastronomic delights of Périgord. The fertile soil of the Dordogne offers a perfect breeding ground for the Tuber Mélanosporum, the famous black truffle of Périgord! Come and taste it, just out of the ground ! From mid-December to mid-February, with the help of truffle dogs, Olivier Leserne flushes it out. The estate currently consists of 13 ha of young trees and 50 ha will soon be planted to make this place one of the largest truffle fields in Périgord!
