    • A festive setting... in your image

Associating an atmosphere of yesteryear and fairy tales, Jumilhac, a major site of the Périgord-Limousin Natural Park, welcomes you in an authentic and private setting, the castle square then serving as a car park.

Modular according to the event : wedding, cocktail, family reunion, lunch, seminar, conference, evening... the reception rooms are articulated around a vaulted coachman passenger (60 m²) giving access :

      • From the ground floor to the terrace gardens overlooking the valley of the Isle and adjoining the church (former castral chapel from the 12th, 15th and 17th centuries),
      • To the old vaulted rooms (95 m²) also used as a possible fallback site,
      • At the Richelieu Lounges on the 1st floor, consisting of the Cardinal's Room (65 m²) and the adjacent Council President's Room (200 m²) with use of the adjacent terrace.

A 45 m² extension (small living room, kitchen office, bedroom and bathroom) is left to discretion for table service, children, cloakroom....

      Thus, you can organize :
Wine of honour, cocktail, buffet dinner... on the south-facing terraces, with or without additional pagodas (in addition), Seated dinner (70/80 cvts), buffet, opening in the stalls and the adjoining checked passage, Wedding reception (sit-down dinner (80 to 300 cvts), buffet dance, costume ball, promotional evening..., in the Salons Richelieu (and annexes), all this day and night (torches on courtyards and terraces).

And so that the event is in your image, the service providers (caterers, florists, DJs, equipment rental companies...) are left to your choice as well as the late evening time, allowing you to finish the next day with a breakfast and/or a brunch during which a visit of the castle is offered to you. But to make your party complete, you can also use additional services such as : classic car, minibus (9 seats), prestidigitator, traditional orchestra, fireworks...

This is a fantastic Chateau. It looks like right out of a fairy tale. And it's pretty massive in size. On this weekday were surprisingly few visitors. Hard to imagine, because the castle and the gardens are stunning and you can easily spent a bunch of hours here. There's plenty of parking right out front on the town square. Free of charge. 10.50 a person is a great deal, gives you access to almost everything including a self-guiding booklet with informations. Our Bulldog was welcome here as well. Free of charge. The castles construction dates from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. At the rear façade is a terrassed lawn and an orangery. A nice sized garden completes the site. The castle and gardens are privately owned and is really kept in a great state and condition. There are plenty of rooms to discover and then you can stroll around in the wonderful gardens. It's just a pretty place. Inside and out. The very pretty Church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens is also on site. Really an amazing place to be. Worth a longer drive surely. Staff is great. Welcoming and helpful. And lots of useful informations everywhere. As well as a souvenir shop of course. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

Large castle in charming village of Jumilhac, incredible roof architecture. We'd reserved an English language tour, but our friendly guide was happy to also answer questions in Dutch and French. To do the tour and walk the gardens took a couple hours.

An 11 Century Castle of Hogwarts standard and style . Great history and worth €10 or so to tour inside part of this historic castle. Interesting with the pursuit of alchemy and the philosophers stone/immortality.
