    • The motto of Étangs du Bos for a successful holiday: "Carpe Diem"

Here, you can indulge in your favorite hobby, fishing, but also enjoy the magnificent historical and prehistoric heritage by visiting the Lascaux Caves, Sarlat, Domme, Beynac...

The Périgord region offers a great diversity: culture, gastronomy, sports activities or more relaxing pursuits!

Our site, however, is dedicated to lovers of nature and peace and quiet, two criteria which particularly appeal to fishermen (without any need to have a fishing license).

You can also choose to stay in our accommodations which are located near the ponds.

One has an area of approximately 7000 m² (the fishing pond, depth of 2 to 6 meters), the other of a little over one hectare, (from 4 to 11.50 meters deep and also intended for swimming and pedal boats).

Since the creation of these two ponds, the ARS (Regional Health Agency) has been monitoring the water quality and the results classify them in the "very good water quality" category, undoubtedly linked to the springs that feed them from spring onwards and provide water renewal.

This protected and verdant natural environment allowed the Dordogne basin to be classified by UNESCO (during the summer of 2012) as a World Network of Biosphere Reserves. This label is awarded to sites that possess great environmental richness and preserve their natural balance.

In conclusion, the majority of anglers accept the practice of "catch and release." While not mandatory, this approach is highly valued. Anglers release their catches, striving to do so in the best possible conditions to avoid injuring the fish, and generally using hooks designed to prevent damage to the fish's mouth (for this purpose, barbless hooks are available). This is, in fact, a more environmentally conscious philosophy that is increasingly appealing to a different type of angler.

The price is more than attractive considering the number of activities offered. The staff are lovely, and the lockers are supervised. The water is warm in the pools, slides, and water activities. The mini-golf is fun, and the inflatable water activity on the pond is great, even though I tore off a nail (I don't recommend doing it with extensions). They have first-aid supplies, so don't hesitate to ask if you need them.

Everything is perfect. The park is very clean. It's safe and well-monitored. The area is nicely shaded. The staff is friendly. We had a wonderful day. We'll be back.

I visited twice last summer with my children 10 and 12 years old. Relaxed with water assault course, water slides, bar and picnic tables. Not busy. Good fun recommended and we'll be back this summer!
