Very good. Over the years we've been with numerous companies and this one, Canoé Randonée, is up there with the best. We arranged to go through our campsite, Capeyrou in the village of Beynac. We were collected on time, at 9.30am in a newish van and were driven with another family to their base, the midway point ish for our 22km on the river Dordogne. Once at their base we paid, €75 for a 3 person & 1 dog canoe, picked up our life vests, our oars and a waterproof barrel for our picnic. We then waited 15 minutes, had a coffee at their riverside snack bar, before heading out up the river to our start. We arrived shortly after 10.15 and were in the river by around 10.30 in a newish blue canoe. We then spent about 6 hours pottering down the river, with plenty of stops for dinner, to swim, to stretch our legs and to swap positions in the canoe. If there was one criticism it would be that the middle seat wasn't particularly comfortable and without any support. Six hours later, the fourth bridge across the river, and we arrived back at our starting point by Camping Capeyrou. A very enjoyable day on a very busy river. We've been in May when it's been very quiet and in September when there's been little or no other persons, yet the steady stream of canoes didn't detract from our enjoyment and it was nice to see a different section of the river from previous years. It was well organised, the drivers who picked us up didn't drive like maniacs and the minibuses weren't old and rough, plus they were fitted with working & functional seat belts.

I can't say enough amazing things about Damien, Nicolas, and Canoe Rando Dordogne! We had a destination wedding in the Dordogne at the end of September and organized a fun group excursion every day. Without a doubt, the most fun, interesting, exciting, and encompassing one of those activities was our canoe trip down the Dordogne with Canoe Rando Dordogne! Coordinating any group activity isn't easy, let alone from 4,000 miles away. However, Damien was the most responsive and easy-to-work-with person I've had the pleasure of communicating with. He made planning this outting a breeze, always responding to me quickly, including ample information, and asking questions to make sure they could accommodate our group and serve our needs! We were able to arrange for a rain date in case of poor weather and also organized for Damien and Nicolas (who used to work in the restaurant business) to make a picnic lunch for our guests halfway through the canoe trip! On the day of our trip itself, us and our ~40 guests easily found the Canoe Rando Dordogne location to get our equipment and cast off. We got easy instructions on navigating the river and where to stop for lunch. Everyone had the most amazing, fun time floating down the river together and seeing all the beautiful chateaux along the route. Damien and Nicolas are consumate professionals who've created a fantastic business. After having been in contact with over a dozen other canoe companies doing similar routes, I can say without hesitation that I recommend Canoe Rando Dordogne to anyone interested in a canoe/kayak trip. Thank you!!
