Located not far from Thonac, near Montignac and 3 km from Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, the charming little village of Fanlac welcomes all visitors looking for the charm of the Périgord villages.
Known to be the village of the famous Jacquou Le Croquant, Fanlac retains an exceptional heritage and rare authenticity. All the houses are in blond stones, characteristic of the Périgord Noir, and the roofs are often covered with slate.
The village is crossed by the GR 36 which allows you to go to the castle of Auberoche. The Barade forest opens its doors to you, the landscapes are just as beautiful, both in winter and in summer. Two hiking trails are therefore possible: the Orsini loop (5.3 km, in 1 hour 30 minutes) and the Boucle du Bourg (2.5 km in 45 minutes). The signs indicate their directions at the entrance of the village.
