A renovated former farmhouse in a verdant setting
Located in Vitrac, near Sarlat-la-Canéda, the Domaine de Malet is a unique place, nestled in a privileged natural setting. This former stone farmhouse overlooks the Dordogne Valley and offers a remarkable view of the Caudon cliffs. Surrounded by greenery and tranquility, the estate invites relaxation, disconnection, and rejuvenation in a preserved environment typical of the Périgord Noir region.
The establishment is reserved for adults and teenagers aged 12 and over, and does not accept animals.
An intimate and comfortable hotel
The estate offers 16 hotel rooms divided into five categories: Relaxation, Serenity, Forest Nature, Valley Nature, and Cozy. Each room can be configured with a double bed or twin beds. Some offer views of the forest or valley, while others have private terraces.
All rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, televisions, a welcome tray, and storage space. The Cocon room, consisting of two separate areas, can accommodate up to four people. Rates vary depending on the season.
Cozy cottages for 2 to 8 people
Five independent or semi-detached cottages are also available for rent. They bear evocative Occitan names: La Brejaudo, Lou Nougaillou, Lou Peyrol, Lou Cantou, and La Queirio. These charming accommodations are designed to sleep 2 to 8 people in a comfortable and well-equipped setting: kitchen, living room, spacious bedrooms, furnished terraces, and a barbecue.
The cottages are rented for a minimum of two nights, with a 10% discount for weekly stays. Linens are provided, and beds are made upon arrival.
A local and friendly restaurant
A buffet breakfast is offered each morning, consisting of homemade products and local specialties : pastries, jams, cakes, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, hot drinks…
In the evening, dining is available by reservation, with a different themed dinner each day: daily menu, brazier evening, or Périgord platters served in the patio or on the terrace, depending on the weather.
An ideal venue for private and professional events.
Domaine de Malet hosts weddings, family reunions, birthdays, and seminars in an elegant and natural setting. Several indoor and outdoor spaces are available: a tobacco drying barn, patio, terrace, courtyard, and wooded park.
The venue can accommodate 100 people for receptions, with 56 beds available on site. Guests can use a professional kitchen available for catering. Packages including wedding eve, dinner, secular ceremony, brunch, and accommodation are offered upon request.
For businesses, meeting spaces are modular and equipped (screen, video projector), and team building activities can be organised: canoeing, escape game in the forest, yoga classes, etc.
Services designed for groups
The property is also suitable for groups of hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists, or tourists. It offers half-board, packed lunches, and a bicycle garage. The rooms can be configured with twin beds, accommodating up to 56 people.
A wellness space surrounded by nature
The heated relaxation pool, massage room, yoga and meditation room, as well as the rest areas under the covered area or in the forest, offer visitors moments of well-being in harmony with the surroundings. These facilities promote relaxation and serenity, far removed from the daily grind.

Domaine de Malet is committed to an ecological and responsible approach. The establishment prioritizes short supply chains, limits plastic waste, uses organic and local products and encourages eco-responsible practices (reusing towels, refillable dispensers, selective sorting, etc.).
