  Hello Since you've taken the liberty of responding to my opinion, I'd like to elaborate and correct your remarks. The private rental was accepted, and you only need to look at the other group's review on Booking.com to understand that everything was done for profit, not for the satisfaction of the people you rented to. Also, look at the numerous comments about the pools and the overall condition to see that this is a recurring problem, not a one-off. Finally, I tried to contact you again, as you suggested, remaining calm and collected as always from the beginning, and again received no response. I maintain that this is a place and these people to avoid if you want to organize an event with peace of mind and confidence. All the lies have been proven by our email and text message exchanges. Hello To summarize my detailed experience below: absolutely avoid this place, especially for group bookings, and even more so for a private rental. This venue was booked for a wedding reception, including the "banquet hall" and its kitchen, which was completely unusable and infested with mice. * 3 toilets are out of order in 3 different cottages * 3 swimming pools available across the entire property, less than half the promised number (the excuse being a so-called storm; at least 3 of the pools had been unused for a very long time) * Door handles that don't work properly; one even broke, locking a participant inside the toilet in the wine cellar * The dishwasher in the reception hall doesn't work very well, or at least it doesn't wash much * 2 mice are roaming freely in the kitchen in the reception hall, nibbling on everything we could store. Given the general state of the kitchen, they're having a feast * We waited a month after requesting the details of the sleeping arrangements in the cottages, only to discover 15 days beforehand that they had re-let some of them, including the wine cellar near the reception hall. We had to intervene to get it back. The other guests ended up sharing one of the pools at one of our cottages. They were surprised and unaware that the rest of the property was reserved by us. It wasn't a very pleasant situation. (See their review as well...) This was especially true since the sofa beds, which were only meant for young people, were used by everyone, which wasn't the plan. How could they re-let the cottages when exclusive use had been the rule from the start, and they only informed us at the last minute when we couldn't cancel or postpone? The lure of profit... Christian is very good and did what he could given all the problems in the cottages. Furthermore, Paul is unreachable by phone, which wasn't the case when it came to paying for the reservation in advance. No follow-up, no consideration whatsoever, until a magical email finally arrived, followed by the expected callback. The voice was syrupy, promising a partial refund (a small amount compared to the total, but a gesture nonetheless...) which was supposed to happen in August, then within a few weeks, then depending on the accounting department not doing its job (according to Paul himself), and in the end, nothing materialized. All the facts are documented with supporting emails. I kindly advise you not to deny them. Paul has no consideration for his customers and lies quite knowingly. I rarely publish this type of review. This property is a gem whose upkeep will ruin it. I strongly advise against using it for large family or friendly gatherings, and above all, do not listen to Paul.
