- Welcome to our guest house La Barde Montfort
  
  With a breathtaking view on the castle of Montfort, our beautiful house offers you an exceptional setting and an ideal situation to discover the Black Perigord, a few kilometers from Sarlat.
  THE LIFE OF A CASTLE
  Our house offers 5 very spacious and comfortable guest rooms, decorated and furnished in the style of the surrounding castles: 1 triple room (2 or 3 persons), 4 double rooms (2 persons) including a family suite that can accommodate up to 5 persons.
  Each room has a private bathroom with toilet, a television, and free Wi-Fi access. One room is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
  All our rooms are on the first floor with direct access to the garden and independent entrance. Three of them offer a unique view on the Castle of Montfort, the two others have a private terrace.
  Our house also offers three other beautiful rooms to share moments of relaxation and conviviality: dining room, living room, library on the mezzanine. Outside, our landscaped garden and our swimming pool invite you to relax and dream. And if you feel like it, why not play a game of pétanque or ping-pong, or even let yourself be tempted by a massage on site.
  THE PLEASURE OF THE SENSES
  In the morning, to start the day well, a complete and copious breakfast (included in the price of the room) is served either in our dining room or in the garden according to the weather. On certain evenings, and upon reservation 48 hours in advance, you can discover good local products at our table d'hôtes. Back from a walk, you can also have a drink from 5pm.
  A few hundred meters from the house, you can also choose from various restaurants that we have selected for you.
  AN IDEAL LOCATION
  Our guest house La Barde Montfort is located in the charming village of Montfort appreciated for its quietness while being less than 30 minutes from the many tourist sites of the Périgord Noir: Sarlat, La Roque-Gageac, Beynac, Castelnaud Castle, Lascaux Cave, Marqueyssac Gardens, Milandes Castle, Les Eyzies...
  From our guest house you can go on foot or by bike for short pleasant walks. The Dordogne river is only 1 km away for a canoe trip, a swim or simply a picnic by the water. Many other activities can be practiced in the vicinity: hot air ballooning, horseback riding, golf... We are happy to recommend you good addresses.

Fabulous place, excellent hosts, great area, lots to do and see close by. Eric & Virginie provided a beautiful environment, great atmosphere, delicious breakfasts, etc. There is also the option of purchasing dinner. Virginie is an outstanding cook and our meals were superb. The entire place is super clean. We were in the Veronica suite which was very spacious, had its own entrance & lovely garden outside, with a view of Montfort Castle. The pool is lovely & comfortable to swim in. There is hiking in the area surrounding the property, lovely area for walks & bike rides as well. Most of all, Virginie & Eric are very kind, thoughtful, helpful & knowledgeable hosts, happy to interact with their guests & assist them in any way they can. Highly recommend.

La Barde is a unique and special experience. Frederique and Pascal are genuine, enthusiastic hosts ready to help you in any way they can to enjoy your stay in this beautiful area. The rooms are comfortable and inviting, the breakfasts are varied with local delights and lively conversations with the hosts and, other guests. We spent 5 nights and easily could have stayed a month, lots to do, see, eat and enjoy in this wonderful location in the Dordogne region! We highly recommend, and hope to return again.

A luxurious break in a beautiful location. One of the best B & B's I have stayed in. Why? Very large and comfortable accommodation with stylish decor throughout. Peaceful location with pretty garden and a pool. Breakfast was fresh, healthy and always changing, great variety. Hosts were a special blend of friendly, helpful, kind but also had a genuine concern that you would enjoy being on holiday in their property. Location is excellent to experience a range of varied and different activities from visiting beautiful gardens, interesting and pretty villages, prehistoric cave paintings and cycling and water sports. One restaurant within walking distance, others a short drive nearby. If you are offered the opportunity to have dinner at the B & B, definately say yes. Fantastic meal and you are treated like a princess. And did I mention the village has its very own castle!
