    The food was good but the portions were very small. Entree was small escargots which were good. The fish course had a nice salad but with only 2 very small prawns. Main course of pork had a spoonful of ratatouille, 2 tiny figs and nothing else. No rice or potato. One of our group is diabetic and needed to have bread when we got back as he had taken insulin expecting better portions. So although we enjoyed the food it was expensive for what we got. Also a bit strange when the chef sat in the corner of the dining room using his computer.

    We were impressed with the location and the welcome at this country retreat. The room was large and comfortable with a wet room ensuite. The highlight was the evening meal from an award winning chef, eaten in the garden overlooking the countryside. The breakfast was excellent and we left with reluctance. We will certainly return again.
