A hotel and restaurant in a former Relais de Poste from 1872

Mickael and Sylvie Beltrami took over the Hotel Restaurant Les Voyageurs 13 years ago. We have been coming here to eat and rest for 200 years, in this chic but not stuffy house, with a cozy and warm atmosphere . It is a former Relais de Poste , open since 1872, which used to be the postman traveling by stagecoach , to deliver mail to the 4 corners of the Dordogne. We stopped there to sleep, feed the horses and feast on an invigorating meal , simple but delicious.

Positioned on a strategic axis between Limoge and Périgueux , the Logis Les Voyageur then benefited from the advent of Paid Holidays . The Relais is transformed into a place of passage, for vacationers heading south of the country. The restaurant is always full and confirms its welcoming qualities for everyone. Today, with a capacity of 60 seats , a beautiful terrace overlooking the indoor heated swimming pool in the middle of the vegetation, the restaurant of the Logis Hotel Les Voyageurs is still as much appreciated by the locals (for family and Sunday feasts), but also passing business customers and tourists looking for a good meal in Périgord Vert .

Perigord cuisine, a talented chef

For 13 years, Christian Gasparine has been in the kitchen. When Mickael and Sylvie bought the establishment, Christian was learning from the former owners. He works in the kitchen during the seasons (because the restaurant is only open in summer) and leaves to start his training the rest of the year outside the department. Attached to the region, enthusiastic and curious, he offers his services as a chef to Mickael and Sylvie who then appreciate his vision of cuisine and his work with flagship products from Périgord .

Christian Gasparine has now carte blanche, he knows his job on the fingertips and also his customers! If the restaurant has so many regulars, it is because the Seasonal menu , which changes every two months, is attractive and gourmet . The menu flatters palates in search of tradition and classic Périgord dishes , but the daring will always find a fine and sought-after recipe to reward their desire for novelty.

Fantastic fluffy tagliatelle, topped with a truffle sauce and a crispy toast of butter, sprinkled with fleur de sel and scented truffle peels.

A nice plate with a trio of tomatoes of old varieties, with a fondant sprinkling of capers and other condiments, crispy tiles, a homemade whipped cream with basil and a fondant tuna steak.

For dessert, a revisited lemon tart, with a lime cream and a homemade Périgord strawberry sorbet.

Logis Hôtel Les Voyageurs is one of the Logis de France independent restaurateurs and hoteliers. A guarantee of quality, respect for a charter of welcome , comfort and impeccable services . Climb the staircase which adjoins the reception, peacefully observed by the stone lion sculpture (emblem of the hotel). 13 rooms are available, they all have a particular personality and colors. Bright , spacious and with quality services, it is a haven of relaxation for a holiday or a relaxing night's stay.

Some rooms have views of the garden and the pretty private heated pool . The family room with its 30m2 will appeal to families with children, there is also a room accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM).

The Hotel is located on La Voie de Vézelay which joins Saint-Jacques de Compostelle , so always at La Coquille and in Périgord Vert, pilgrims pass and stop to rest and discover the region. The calm , green and unspoiled countryside appeals to holidaymakers. Only a few kilometers away are beautiful natural sites , but also castles , caves and beautiful villages. Come discover Saint-Jean-de-Côle nearby or Brantôme , which are part of the Most Beautiful Villages in France . Bastides and castles welcome you, like Jumillac , Bourdeilles or Puyguilhem .
