    • Along the water, from the port of La Roque-Gageac, classified "Most Beautiful Village in France", and up to the castle of Castelnaud, you will enjoy the fluvial environment, the richness of its flora and fauna, you will admire the magnificence of the castles and unlock the secrets of these villages with blond stone clinging to the limestone cliffs.

Share an hour's walk along the water aboard our boats, modern and secure replicas of the barges of our ancestors. During seven kilometers, pilots and guides will introduce you to the history and local customs that form the basis of the cultural identity of our river, its valley and the people who inhabit it.

On the program: prehistory, Middle Ages, life of the gabarriers, river, fish, fauna, flora, ecosystem and geology. For your comfort, our boats are powered by eco-efficient and silent engines.

Best of the local boat trips. Really helpful with children. Relaxed, knowledgeable guide-this was in French but she offered explainations in English for us-in addition to a very good child friendly audio guide which was available in German, Spanish, Dutch, English and French. This is free -so were our kids. The guide wasn't just generic, she answered questions and asked what we were interested in. Nice joking about between her, the 'captain' and visitors as well. She also helped us to take photos at the end of the trip.

A really nice boat trip with great English commentary. We went when it was very hot and it was stunning, the scenery was/is spectacular. If it's a hot day is take a towel and trucks or costume and gone for a swim afterwards. The river is amazing.

We had already taken a gabarres tour in Bergerac and that route was very dull unless you are bird watchers so we decided to take a 2nd one in La Roque-Gageac. This route was more scenic, you see...
