    • The Troubadour restaurant and its entire team welcome you to its warm and friendly family setting to spend a good time with family and friends.

      The name of our restaurant comes from the famous Troubadour Bertrand de Born, lord of Hautefort in the Middle Ages.

      The Périgord is a region that is first visited with the mouth. It is a so-called peasant cuisine but many city dwellers would like to become peasants to enjoy without ceremony a truffle scramble or a pan-fried foie gras accompanied by a glass of Monbazillac.

      What nature has given to the Périgord, our restaurant offers you: Ceps, truffles, walnuts, foie gras and fattened ducks.

      The Troubadour is committed to ensuring that you finish your plate not out of hunger but out of greed.

    Passing through the village, we had lunch as a party of four. The waitress was pleasant and efficient, anticipating our requests for bread and water, right up until our coffee, when a welcome, freshly brewed carafe was brought to us. The dishes were well-prepared with local ingredients. It's very close to the castle and a second-hand shop, which we inevitably stopped to browse after our meal.

    EXCELLENT!! Very, very good value for money. I opted for the burger, which was delicious. The ingredients are high quality, and you can taste it! Great location, impeccable service, everything was perfect, right down to the little homemade cookie that came with the coffee. We highly recommend this place!

    This place has always been a favourite of ours. Pretty location overlooking the surrounding pretty buildings, but not claustrophobic. Lovely terrace area which can be enclosed on chillier evenings...
