Le Change Towns, Villages and bastides in Le Change

Le Change is a pretty little village, part of the commune of Bassillac et Auberoche , just a few minutes from Périgueux, capital of Périgord Blanc . Located on the banks of the Auvézère river, it was once dotted with mills, there were no less than 7 in the 18th century. There are some hiking trails that cross the Causse de Cubjac, it is a wooded area of oaks. The historic center of the village (part of which is classified) and its close surroundings are rich in an interesting (but private) heritage such as the Château de Banne, the Château de la Sandre, the Château de la Faurie, the Maison de Malesse, the Château de la Sandre, the remains of the Château d'Auberoche on its rocky promontory (of which only the Auberoche Chapel remains) and a dovecote on the village square.
