Périgord Limousin Regional Natural Park

The Périgord Limousin Regional Natural Park is a natural and relaxing destination, except for those who love hiking and who are sure to find many paths   to browse ! Between Haute-Vienne and Dordogne , it covers an area of nearly 1900km2 . This protected natural space has within it many small villages and charming towns, rural and with recognized artisanal but also industrial know-how. It is of course a large space of greenery, with hilly terrain, perfect for hiking and for offering diverse landscapes , with special flora and fauna . The highest altitude in the Périgord Limousin PNR is around 500m, we rather cross plains and alluvial regions , because many rivers cross it (in particular the Charente, the Côle, the Dronne, the Isle).

On the tourism side, the park benefits from remarkable places to discover, to walk or learn more about local crafts . Come to gold panning , discover the knives of Nontron , visit castles , admire the numerous Romanesque churches in the area, the mills and forges, vestiges of an important industrial activity which is still active.
