Périgord-Limousin regional natural Park Discover beautiful and diverse landscapes between Haute-Vienne and Dordogne

The Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park is a relaxing nature destination, except for those who love hiking and will find plenty of trails to explore! Located between the Haute-Vienne and Dordogne departments, it covers an area of nearly 1,900 km². This protected natural area encompasses many charming villages and towns, rural and renowned for their artisanal and industrial traditions. It is, of course, a vast green space with rolling hills, perfect for hiking and offering diverse landscapes with unique flora and fauna. The highest point in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park is around 500 meters; the landscape is mostly plains and alluvial plains, as many rivers flow through it (notably the Charente, the Côle, the Dronne, and the Isle).

From a tourism perspective, the park boasts remarkable places to discover, whether for a stroll or to learn more about local crafts. Come and pan for gold, discover Nontron knives, visit castles, admire the numerous Romanesque churches in the area, and see the mills and forges, vestiges of a significant and still active industrial past.
