La Réserve Naturelle du Marais de Groléjac Nature Reserves / Parks in Groléjac

  • English
    • In the south of the Dordogne, on the edge of the Lot, the Marais de Groléjac Nature Reserve protects "the largest limestone marsh in Dordogne". It is a wetland, in the heart of a wooded environment. To preserve this original natural space and make it easier for you to access, a pontoon has been built and an interpretation trail has been marked out. You can make a hiking loop there , accessible to the whole family. To better understand this ecosystem, signs indicate the points of interest and explain their specificities. Beautiful ornithological observations await you there as well.

A moment suspended in the middle of the marsh. The course is very well laid out. With a little discretion and a few minutes of patience we were able to observe the otters.

Nice nature walk on wooden decking. We could see that bad planks have recently been replaced. Navigate to the camping du lac. For €2 per person you can park in a parking lot that is rich in trees. Toilets, playground available. Eatery with tasty waffles. Walk past the beautiful sandy beach and after the obstacle course you will see the entrance to the swamp area on the right. Recommended for a day at the beach, water and nature. And cheap!

Super beautiful piece of nature. You're walking along the paths. And there is plenty to see for the observant. Parking at the plan d'eau campsite. Then walk along the road towards the beach. Then at a certain point turn right onto the path. Small tour. Super beautiful. And to top it off, an emerald lizard. Beautiful

Visited on a Monday in August with a 7 and 10year old. Parking was free as no life guard and we were the only ones on the beach in over 30 degree heat for much of the morning. It got a bit busier...

A very pleasant walk with information provided where you can quietly stroll in the marshlands on a secure walkway that does not detract from the beauty and peaceful area and, most importantly, does...
