    • Villa Marguerite: Refined and poetic guest rooms in Cadouin in the Périgord Noir

Looking for an exceptional address in Périgord Noir? Meet at Villa Marguerite in Cadouin, a stone's throw from a UNESCO-listed Gothic cloister, surrounded by a spellbinding Cistercian abbey. The Villa Marguerite is a charming 18th century Bourgeois house, with an intimate, poetic and authentic atmosphere. Its 3 guest rooms are decorated with attention to each object and natural materials, sourced with love.

Caroline and Florence have fallen under the spell of this romantic looking house embellished with a delicious garden with a nicely felted atmosphere by a century- old wisteria. During the summer, it is in this cocoon of greenery that breakfast will be served. Generous and made up of local products, homemade cakes, bread and fresh pastries, the day will start gently.

After your visits and walks in this region of Périgord, located between Bergerac and Sarlat (gourmet and medieval), you can, if you wish, sit down in the garden or in the living room near the fireplace to enjoy a delicious meal. at the table d'hôtes at 35€ with starter, main course, dessert (drinks not included). Florence will be your chef, after having held several good tables in Périgord, she puts her culinary talents at the service of her guests: a revisited, inventive and refined local gastronomy , illustrated with the great wines of our regions. Seasonal products, classics executed with finesse and freshness, from starter to dessert.

The guest rooms all have a private bathroom (with a basket of hygiene and care products), and a small lounge. The comfortable bedding promises you rest, calm in a cozy and natural environment. Raw materials such as wood, stone, metal, enhanced with textiles such as linen and cotton, plunge you into an intimate atmosphere. The furniture that surrounds you has been chosen from flea markets, from antique dealers. They are patinated by time and dress this warm house with allure, like a pleasant cabinet of curiosities.

During your stay at the Villa Marguerite, you will be particularly delighted by the kindness and the discreet and benevolent attentions of Florence and Caroline. Receiving is their happiness, they like to share the pleasure of living in this refined house, with their hosts.

What a lovely refuge in the heart of the Perigord and the Dordogne region. Caroline and Florence are amazing hosts, and if you have an opportunity to eat at their restaurant--you should, it was exquisite. Breakfast was copious and delicious, the room was spacious and well-appointed, and the service excellent. They are right in the town of Cadouin and close to the Abby and restaurants. For biking (which we were doing) it was well situated to visit the many bastides and other attractions in the area. We hope to return in the future!

Wonderful stay at the Villa Marguerite. Caroline and Florence are exceptionally welcoming hosts, you really felt you were a guest in their home. The B&B is beautifully styled and furnished, and the rear garden which our room overlooked was a joy to wake up to. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfy and with all the facilities you would need. Breakfast was fresh fruit, pastries and cereals, a great start to the day - we also dined in one night and enjoyed a beautiful 3 course meal cooked by Florence who is an exceptional and talented chef. We are already planning our next visit as we cannot wait to return!

We had a fantastic stay. Villa Marguerite is a very beautiful place and Caroline and Florence are very warm and welcoming hosts. The rooms are very lovingly decorated and everything you might need is there. The garden is also a great place to hang out in. We can also highly recommend eating at the table d'hotes. Florence is a great and very experienced chef, and also one of the few in the area who knows how to make amazing vegetarian/vegan dishes. We ate there twice in three days because we loved it so much. The breakfast is also really tasty and fresh and varied. The location in Cadouin is also very good. I could go on but let me just say: if you can stay at Villa Marguerite, do!
