  A lovely restaurant tucked away in a wooded area. The food was excellent and outstanding value for money. The owners are very kind and attentive and the whole experience has the feeling that they have invited over their best friends. Don't miss out if you have the opportunity because you will leave with a broad smile on your face.

  Beware of the gift vouchers! We had a gift voucher called “Gourmets Romantiques”, consisting of a “gourmet du moment” menu for two plus wine pairing plus a cup of champaing. We had a reservation and previously sent the details of our voucher. When we got there they seemed to be very confuses with our voucher, which was bought at their own website, and by the fact that we didn’t have it printed out. They were not sure what the “gourmet du moment” menu was. After more than 45 minutes without even offering a glass of water, they told us our voucher, which was worth 132€ (119€ with a promotion) would be used for a menu formule worth 33,5 € each, two or three glasses of wine per person and a cup of champaign. The menu didnt include foie or truffle or anything we hoped for. Finally, after more discussing, they agreed to give us a 48€ perigord menu with a glass of wine each. Considering the glass of wine to be 6€ each, our 132€ voucher got us 108€ worth of food and wine. The food was very good, I cant say the opposite, but overall it was a very unpleasant experience and they didnt make us feel welcome at any moment

  If you are anywhere near the Dordogne valley, come to Lo Gorissado, a farm to table food paradise. You'll experience the meal of a lifetime, courtesy of the kindest and most caring staff/owners. My wife and I drove through the woods on winding roads, and just as we thought we'd driven too far, we found this restaurant. After parking in the grass by a barn, we walked​ up to the dining room to be greeted by the smiling face of the owner, the most delightful hostess that has ever guided us though meal. The food was superb as was as the story behind each plate. This husband and wife team knows how to inspire awe with their dishes. We've spent two weeks traveling from Paris, to Lyon, to Nice, to the Dordogne valley, to San Sebastian (Spain), and eaten amazing meals in all of those cities best eateries. None of those meals has compared to the quality, service, and experience at Lo Gorissado. Just one piece of advice: if you're staying in the Dordogne valley for more than a couple days, go to this restaurant last because no other food will compare.
