Lovely menu, and location, service was good overall, but the younger girl waiting tables seemed to actively change her friendliness level from happy and smiling to much less friendly when dealing with British tables. Food was great, but the French fries (admittedly not the best measure in such a good place) seemed like frozen chips. A small thing, but still... All in all the starters and the desserts were the highlights, mains a little less so.

This is the second time we've eaten here. Beautiful surroundings and garden, next to very old stone Abbey. Julien was hosting and very amenable. The young lady serving us could have smiled more. My food was perfection, every course was delicious (duck samosa, pork fillet in foie gras sauce, chocolate almond dessert) but my children's food was too small in portion size (they took the children's menu for under 12s - they are 11). My feeling is the restaurant should serve children two courses only and combine the starter and main into one larger serving).

We are lucky to be staying in an area which is not too touristy. This restaurant was recommend by the people that own the lovely house we are staying in. The setting is lovely though sadly as soon ad we sat down outside it started to rain. It didn’t matter as it was still warm and we had an umbrella and tree, we did have the option to sit on the terrace but declined. Julien is a lovely host, we decided to have the set menu. I had feta and tomato starter, my partner had the smoked salmon, we both had the pork which was very tasty then for dessert I had crème brûlée. Well worth the money. I would recommend this restaurant as the setting and food was perfect.
