    • The Museum of Medicine is located in the Hôtel-Dieu, in the heart of the small town of Hautefort, below the castle. This museum makes you discover the evolution of medicine through the ages. Each piece is a reconstruction of a sector of medical activity. From the apothecary's cabinet to the living room of the sick, from the library to the chapel, including surgical equipment or the manufacture of tablets and pills, you will go back in time to better understand today's medicine.     Visited to sing in the chapel; the acoustics were excellent. I'm told that the museum is good and I'm looking forward to visiting it in future.

    Quirky but interesting exhibits. The audio guide is available in English and covers the exhibits well. The exhibition of Roman Catholic priest vestments may be of interest to non-Catholic visitors. Coming from Ireland I found it strange but welcome, to see them in an exhibition. Consider making the walk up the hill towards the chateau afterwards. Super views.
