  I stayed here with my husband and mother after a glowing recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately, we had very different experiences. Let me start with the good qualities (to jump to the huge CON, go to #2 in the next section. Prepare to be awed): 1. The grounds are absolutely lovely. 2. With a game room, two pools, and other outside game opportunities, it's a great place to unwind after touring the neighboring villages and castles. 3. The restaurant is truly 5 star -- from the service (Vladmiro is an exceptional bartender and server and the woman who greets you is a delight) to the impeccable cuisine. Now, what disappointed us so much we will not be recommending it to our friends: 1. The bar is advertised as open nearly all day, but the person at the reception desk is the interim bartender before 7pm, so you need to call to get service, if she's available. We didn't manage to get service and aren't sure the drinks would have been great anyways. That's not even the oddest feature... 2. When we arrived, we learned that cleaning service wasn't included in our reservations. That's fine, we don't mind paying extra - we were just surprised to learn this also included service on the day we leave. But wait - it gets even weirder: we had the option to pay for the service or clean the rooms ourselves. Which means we may have been staying in a room cleaned hastily by the guests before us. 🤢 Then it got worse. Even though we agreed to pay the cleaning fee, we still had to complete chores, like stripping the beds, cleaning all the dishes, bringing the towels to the door, and taking the trash out! We didn't do this last one because it required us to walk all the little trash bags (there was no large one with which to put them all in) to somewhere in the far parking lot. And our bottles had to be walked to the small neighboring village where they have a recycle center. It is absolutely bizarre, and I can't believe no one else has commented on this. Perhaps it was the room we had? (Note, it does say on the website cleaning service isn't included in the price, but these details are not posted - we just assumed that meant daily cleaning). Perhaps they are short staffed? Regardless, this could have been a truly magical experience but turned out to be quite disappointing. I recommend eating dinner here, but staying somewhere else.

  A beautiful hotel with family rooms. the children had their space as did us adults. mini bar in room, kettle, tea and coffee. tvs in both bedrooms. air-conditioned units kept our rooms nice and cold. large shower and separate toilet. buffet breakfast for 15€ per adult and 9€ per child. one family friendly pool and also an adults only pool. beautiful well kept grounds.

  Well furnished beautiful room 4 with views galore and 2 pools in a peaceful setting with views of Beynac castle. The restaurant is perfection with great service. Balloons take off from the nearby field
