Henri de Navarre, Mellet de Fayolle, Philip Chadbourne, Jean-Jacques de Saint-Astier, Alice Morris, the Challe spouses... Do you know any of those names ? Probably not… They were all connected to the Neuvic Castle and its tragic and happy history that you can discover during the visit to this furnished Historic Monument which dates from the 16 century and refurbished in the 18 century. It is now a centre for child health, the Institut Médico-Educatif.
Guided visit at 3.30pm and 5pm in July-August. Groups all year long with prior booking. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Price : 6 €/adult, 3 €/children from 8 to 16 years old, free under 8 years old. This price includes the access to the Botanical Park.
Varied collections stretching over 6 hectares, discover at your own pace the diversity of the forms, colours and perfumes of the horticultural world. Refuge de la Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux(the French bird protection association), has placed nest boxes, bird feeders, bugs hotel and created wildflower meadows to encourage biodiversity.
An educational trail led by “Choukie le Choucas” guides the youngest visitor towards the wealth of the flora and the fauna.
Opening times from 1st April to 1st October
In April, May, June and September, open from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm
In July – August, from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm.
Closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
4 €/adult, 2 €/children from 8 to 16 years old, free under 8 years old.
The access to the park is free except June to August. Events :
