    • Campsite*** La Plage in Vézac welcomes you for a holiday in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne Valley. Located a stone's throw from the river, very close to the superb cliffs of Vézac beach, the campsite is only a few minutes from the medieval city of Sarlat-la-Canéda. Holidays in this region means a multitude of visits to gardens, castles, medieval villages, perched villages, each one more beautiful than the next... Not to mention sport, gastronomy and the pleasure of living, Périgord style.

Come and rent a mobile home for your holidays in Périgord Noir, and if you prefer to be closer to nature, try the safari style tents. The rentals have private terraces and outdoor garden furniture. To put up your tent, motorhome or caravan, the campsite has spacious pitches (more than 100m2) with everything you need (electricity, toilet blocks, barbecue, baby area, etc…).

Campsite La Plage has a magnificent swimming pool. It is large and has a beautiful swimming pool, with space for children and babies. All around, a beach in the sun to sit on a deckchair and sunbathe or read! And if you like wilder swimming, go and settle down on the edge of the pebble beach on the Dordogne, a gentle and generous river, clean and pleasant! The campsite is not left out of leisure and entertainment! Impossible to get bored, there is something for everyone. Nearby and at the campsite, canoeing on the Dordogne, horse riding, mountain biking, adventure park in the trees, paintball, tennis, hot air balloon rides, barge rides, climbing and caving, fishing, via Ferrata... And of course, the wonderful sites tourist attractions of Périgord Noir! Castles, gardens, villages to visit... A perfect holiday in the Dordogne!

We loved this campsite so much we ended up returning twice and staying in total for a week until they closed on 14/10, just before our return home. It’s in a beautiful location, with lots to see and do. Very relaxing for us and our dog as the river which flows alongside the campsite is accessible via a gate, and once through he was able to be off lead. Being very shallow the river was enjoyed by swimmers and dogs alike. Tour boats and canoes were a frequent sight. Then just next to the site are fields which stretch to the next village, within walking distance, and away from the road, so again the dog could be off lead. Hot air balloons were visible most days, some dropping down within a few feet from the river, then up and off again. We met a couple who’d been going to the campsite every year for 37 years, and seen the transformation to what it is now. The facilities are clean and first class, the owner and his staff are friendly and helpful. We shall definitely be returning every year ourselves.

All facilities immaculately clean and in first class condition. Showers very hot and good pressure. Good easy access and friendly reception. Only downside for us was early mornings were very damp and because pitches were very dry our dogs had to be washed every morning as they got filthy. Nothing the owners can do apart from making the pitches hardstanding. Perhaps dog shower would be good if possible. As Stated an excellent site and plenty of local places of interest to visit. Also great bar and restaurant.

Fantastic location for exploring the area, plus kayak centre right next door with lovely riverside bar and beach. Beautiful views, especially from some pitches overlooking the river or the fields. Reception were very welcoming and helpful. Amazing value. Will return.
