  Enjoyed an amazing meal with my wife & two children last friday evening during a fantastic (and at times scary) french thunderstorm. Sainte Alvere is a beautiful village and the restaurant certainly does it justice. The quality of the food & service was certainly one of the highlights of our week in the dordogne. We will definitely revisit when we are next in the area

  We had a very enjoyable experience with our 2 children in this beautiful establishment that perfectly combines the authentic with the modern in their interior. The food was great, high quality, fresh, portions were big enough without being excessive. Very happy to find something different then all the other magret and gésiers restaurants ! The hostess was very friendly and took her time with the guests (even the children). Maybe 2 little tips , we find it preferable to get the entree only when the apero is finished and to get the wine a bit before we get our main course. And maybe a little sweet accompanying the thee or coffee would have been nice 😊

  Superb! We are in the Dordogne looking to buy a house. Might have to narrow the search to close to Saint Alvere to ensure that we can eat at Dix more often :)
