Les Magnolias

We welcome you to 'Les Magnolias', located in the Lalinde bastide, founded in 1267 by Henri III Plantagenêt. Les Magnolias is a 2.5 hectare property on the banks of the Dordogne.
Our estate is located on the edge of the bastide town of Lalinde, in an authentic region where time seems to have stood still.

When you pass the main door, you find yourself in our enclosed park with its magnolias, cedars, lime trees and oaks. Here you find plenty of tables and chairs in the shade or in full sun. After registering at our reception, you can park your car in our private car park. The swimming pool (17x 7 m) is filled with water from our own spring. It gives a beautiful view of the river and there are large terraces, it is surrounded by palm and olive trees. It is an oasis of tranquility.

Our 'Maison de Maître', a magnificent and romantic property, dates from the 18th century, has recently been fully renovated for luxury bed and breakfast accommodation. The Maison de Maître has been able to keep its authentic elements such as marble fireplaces, paneled doors, old floors and classic ceilings. From now on the House will be used as guest rooms, it will be perfectly for a romantic accommodation.

On the ground floor there is our 6th apartment (Rosette). This romantic gite is located on the side of the river and has a private entrance, the gite consists of a heavenly spa lounge, a kitchen and a large bedroom decorated in a style suitable for 2 people.

200 meters from Les Magnolias you will find a large supermarket where you can get all your daily needs, including your French newspaper.

Par Les Magnolias is less than 10 minutes walk from the main square in the bastide town of Lalinde. In Lalinde there is everything you need, the people are friendly and nice and we often organize activities. You will find a tourist office, a commercial street in the old center, supermarkets, restaurants, post office, bike rental (400 m), cafes, terraces, delicatessens, wine merchants, and of course, the market (farmer) every Thursday in Saturday morning.
In less than 20 minutes by car, you will find all kinds of restaurants, with a menu of the day from 15 euros to Michelin star restaurants.

Les Magnolias is located in the heart of the golden tourist triangle of the Dordogne Valley, it is the ideal base for exploring the region. It's up to you to see how you have fun, either by taking advantage of the spaces, the history, the rest, or by doing lots of sports activities. Les Magnolias is also ideally located for various outings with children. All the major curiosities are within an hour from us.

Our establishment is easily accessible for our (international) guests, we are only 23 kilometers from Bergerac-Romanière airport. We are also easily accessible by train. Lalinde has its own train station on the main route between Bordeaux and Sarlat.

Relax on one of the sunny terraces, have breakfast there, a magnificent view of the Dordogne, take walks along the river with its swans and willows, take a dip in the refreshing swimming pool, listen to the croaking frogs and cicadas chirping, playing boules under old trees…
