A family run campsite

In 1975, Mr. Lacoste, a Périgordin farmer in the Dordogne Valley, started renting pitches so that holidaymakers (few in number at the time) could settle down for a few days and visit the region. The large 6ha plot is ideally located at the foot of the village of Beynac and its castle, 5 minutes from the Dordogne river, not far from the bewitching village of La Roque Gageac... The campsite is popular and is developing slowly.

In 2008, Caroline and Derrick, a Franco-Dutch couple, lovers of travel and beautiful destinations, decided to leave everything behind (he was a micro-electronics engineer and she was in social work with children with multiple disabilities). A daring gamble, they visited several destinations before falling in love with Camping les Deux Vallées, which they bought from Monsieur Lacoste! They settle in a mobile home and improve the services of the campsite. Today Camping les Deux Vallées has a beautiful heated swimming pool, 110 pitches with quality rentals and above all, it has kept its warm and family atmosphere. Caroline and Derrick also live there with their two daughters who were born in Périgord. The Dordogne Valley is very busy in summer and yet here, you always feel at home, on vacation with friends!

In summer, a bus service allows holidaymakers from the campsite to walk around the Valley using public transport. It is very practical, economical and really pleasant. You just have to leave the car at the campsite during the holidays.

A campsite with a heated swimming pool, entertainment and a good location

Camping les Deux Vallées is a 3 star, it has a very beautiful infinity pool (heated), it is surrounded by a beach with deckchairs and parasols for resting or sunbathing!

For the pleasure of the whole family, but especially children, in the park there is a playground, a bowling alley, a volleyball court, a small private pond to try your hand at fishing, as well as a games room indoor with table football, pinball and of course WIFI throughout the campsite, important for young people, isn't it? There is entertainment in summer for children and teenagers, but also the possibility of doing activities in partnership with external service providers : bicycle rental with Bike Bus, to ride on two wheels in the valley, canoe descent with departure from the campsite , etc.

The restaurant offers regional specialties and simple but very good dishes, right next door is the grocery store. In summer, entertainment takes place in the restaurant/bar and games for festive and lively evenings.

Accommodation at Camping les Deux Vallées

There is something for every taste!

  • 3 types of pitches of different sizes, for tents, motorhomes and caravans. They are wide, spacious and above all, well defined by hedges to respect everyone's privacy.
  • About twenty mobile homes, to choose from 6 different ranges. They all have 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, a covered terrace and some have a view of the castle, the high class …
  • 7 safari tents are available to discover the joys of glamping in the Dordogne Valley. On a wooden platform, the tent has everything you need: real beds, bedrooms, kitchen, it's top-of-the-range camping!
  • 2 lodgings are available for rent, they are a little set back from the campsite, but you can of course take advantage of all the services and activities of the campsite. Made of wood, they are Périgord style, for 6 people, simple but comfortable.

Camping les Deux Vallées is invested in sustainable tourism. For several years they have held the Ecolabel label, which crowns the success of the efforts they undertake on a daily basis to limit the impact of outdoor accommodation activities on the local environment. Caroline and Derrick are trained and very knowledgeable in explaining the issues of sorting, which they do kindly but rigorously at the campsite. Composting, recycling, saving water in the garden, reasoned mowing, pruning trees in the right season… A multitude of gestures to save water, electricity and give a good ecological conscience and values to their activity.
